Live web application, built and iterated solo against real transactions.
Off-the-shelf POS software meant recurring fees for features a single small store didn't need — and staff friction at the exact moment a sale happens. A lighter, purpose-built tool would convert more counter interactions into closed sales.
Store staff with no technical background, ringing up a sale or checking a customer's balance in seconds — often with the customer standing right there. Every extra tap is a drop-off risk, same as a checkout page.
Each tab mirrors one step of an actual shift, in the order staff move through it — the retail equivalent of ad-to-page continuity:
Partial-payment and balance-tracking flows were shipped, watched against real usage, then reworked — a build → observe → refine loop, run on live transactions instead of a design board.
Built as the final project for my Programming course at IES Villablanca — database structure, interface design, and backend logic in PHP.
